During December 5th-13th 2018. “The Belt and Road” into Middle East-China photography exchange activity was held in UAE, which jointly organized by Global Photographic Union(GPU), Emirates Photographers Society and China Shangtuf Image and Art Club. Both the vice president of GPU Saeed Al Shamsi and GPU governing board member, China International representative Ms Guo Jing attended the activity. GPU World Centers – UAE – Rwaq Avents, Director and GPU World centres Coordinator, Yousif Al Hosany was also part of the visiting program events planner.
The activity aims to regard photography as a communication medium, spreading “the Belt and Road” civilization, future deepening and expanding photographic art and cultural exchange among countries along the silk road, promoting the common development of photographic art. The exchange activity mainly divided into photo exhibition, communication and photo creative tour etc three parts. The photo exhibition displayed 11 GPU Chinese members’ works, which showed ecological environment, cultural landscape, folk life and other aspects of splendid Chinese civilization to local people in UAE, the exhibition was well received. At the opening ceremony, the vice president of GPU Saeed Al Shamsi and GPU governing board member, China International representative Ms.Guo Jing gave speeches and expressed best wishes to hold the photographic art exchange activity successfully vice president Saeed Al Shamsi on the behalf of Emirates Photographers Society presented the crystal cup that specially made as a gift, Ms.Guo Jing presented an album of 10th anniversary excellent works of Shangtuf in return for good memories.
On December 9th, the delegation also had tree-planning in Al Shindagha, famous historical area in Dubai. The vice president of GPU Saeed Al Shamsi and GPU governing board member, China International representative Ms.Guo Jing with Chinese and Emirates photographers planted the national tree- Ghaf tree, which symbols of China- UAE friendship lasts forever between two countries. Afterwards, the delegation visited and learned at Etihad Museum, which is a famous local history museum and proof of UAE history. Here, members explored the rich cultural heritage and evolution of UAE before founded through watching historic photos and video materials, to better understand culture development in UAE.
It is learned that, during the activity, Chinese and Emirates GPU members and photographers visited Gold Souk & Spice Souk, Liwa in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque etc places for a photo tour and created a large number of excellent photography works.
国际摄影家联盟（GPU）联合举办
2018“一带一路”走进中东·中国&阿联酋摄影交流活动
2018年12月5日-13日，由国际摄影家联盟（GPU）、阿联酋摄影家协会、中国尚图坊联合举办的2018“一带一路”走进中东中国摄影交流活动在阿联酋举行。GPU副主席萨义德·阿尔·沙姆西、GPU董事暨中国国际代表郭宬出席了本次活动。
本次活动旨在以摄影为交流媒介，传播“一带一路”文明，进一步加深和扩大丝路沿途国家间的摄影艺术文化交流，推动摄影艺术的共同发展。交流活动主要分为摄影展览、交流访问、采风创作三大板块。其中摄影展览共展11位GPU中国会员作品，从生态环境、人文景观和民俗生活等方面向当地民众展示了中国精彩的中国文明，受到了观者一致好评。开幕式上，GPU副主席萨义德·阿尔·沙姆西及GPU董事暨中国国际代表郭宬分别致辞并同时表达了对此次摄影艺术交流活动圆满举办的美好愿望。萨义德副主席代表阿联酋摄影学会赠送了为本次活动精心制作的水晶杯，郭宬女士则回赠了尚图坊十周年优秀作品集，以示纪念
12月9日，交流访问团一行还在迪拜著名的古城区阿法迪历史区开展植树活动。GPU副主席萨义德·阿尔·沙姆西及GPU董事郭宬与中阿两国摄影家共同种下象征两国人民友谊的国树——Ghaf树，并以“尚图坊”命名，以此来彰显中阿两国友好结交，友谊长存。 随后，访问团一行前往阿提哈德博物馆进行参观学习。阿提哈德博物馆是当地著名的历史博物馆，是阿联酋的历史积淀的证明。在这里，访问团成员们通过观看历史照片及影视资料，探寻阿联酋建国前丰富的人文遗产和文明演变，更好地了解阿联酋的文化发展。
据了解，活动期间，中国和阿联酋GPU会员及摄影师们先后在迪拜黄金&露天香料市场、阿布扎比利瓦绿洲、谢赫扎德大清真寺等地开展丰富多彩的采风活动，创作了大量摄影佳作。
