On Friday, March 1st, 2024 from 5 p.m., at the GPU Exhibition Center located in the Károlyi Castle in Carei, took place the opening of the photo exhibition “Sălaj – Beauty, Tradition, Story” – 6th edition 2023 . The photos were selected from the most successful frames made in Sălaj. The camp was organized by the Culture and Art Center of Sălaj County together with A.D.I. Silvania Country, the Varadinum Photographic Association, together with the Territorial Administrative Units from Sălaj county.
70 photographs are exhibited, which represent a synthesis of the creations made during the 6th edition of the Photography Camp “Sălaj – Beauty, Tradition, Story” 2023, held in Sălaj county between 19-25th of May, 2023.
Ten photographer artists: Derya Yazar (Turkey), Nora Maher (Egypt), Ljiljana Vrzic (Serbia), Adela Lia Rusu (Romania), Ahmed Mohamed Hassan (Egypt), Mohammed Arfan Asif (United Arab Emirates), Nenad Nikolic (Serbia) , Miklós Méhes (Hungary), Bikfalvi Zsolt (Romania), Ovi D.Pop (Romania), visited and photographed some of the most representative areas of Sălaj county, capturing in their images traditions, folk customs, elements of ethnography, wood churches but also landscapes.
The exhibition can be visited according to the visiting schedule of the Károlyi Castle until March 22nd, 2024
The event was organized by the Photoclub “Vasile Vénig László” from Carei and by the “Count Károlyi” Cultural Tourism Advencement Center.
