Heraklion Hosts International Photo Exhibition: Celebrating the GPU Photo Festival 2025

The Hellenic Photographic Society of Heraklion, home of the GPU World Photography Center, hosted a standout exhibition featuring selected works from the GPU Photo Festival 2025 in Krakow. With powerful imagery and distinguished honors, the event highlighted both artistic achievement and the society’s global presence.

At the club of the Hellenic Photographic Society of Heraklion, which is also the world photography center of GPU, a photography exhibition was held with photos from the GPU Photo Festival 2025 in Krakow.

A curated selection of 60 photographs from festival participants was displayed, showcasing compelling storytelling and diverse artistic perspectives.

 

During the opening ceremony, GPU photography titles were awarded to its members: GPU Grand Master to the president of the Hellenic Photographic Society of Heraklion, Polichonis Nikiforakis, GPU Grant Master and GPU Zeus to Michail Chalkiadakis, and GPU Zeus to Maria Vogiatzakis.

Afterwards, a speech was held on the topic of Travel Photography by the president of GPU, Manolis Metzakis, offering valuable insights and inspiration to all attendees.
