The Károlyi Castle in Carei is located in the north-western region of Romania. It was recently renovated and completely handed over to the popularization of culture, its preservation and the service of cultural tourism.

The permanent and temporary exhibitions of the museum department attract tens of thousands of visitors.

Our events, which satisfy almost the entire palette of society’s interests, whether they are fine art exhibitions, book presentations, classical music concerts, Renaissance music, or medieval jousting tournaments, also enjoy great interest.

In October 2022, the first exhibition center for GPU Europe opened its doors in the Károlyi Castle in Carei.

The Exhibition Center was created with the help of a trio. The three parties are the GPU, the Vasile Vénig László Photoclub Carei and F.C.P.T.C Gróf Károlyi Foundation (operator of the Carei Károlyi Castle), and accordingly they are involved in providing the space for the organization of photo exhibitions and other events related to photography under the auspices of the GPU.

In the past year, we organized several exhibitions that were a great success and attracted many visitors.
